Quick recap of Sunday’s session (February 11):
The fighter and the mage listened around for opportunities and picked, out of the options, the story of a farmer who said he had been robbed by orcs. We went to talk to him, then followed the 4 day-old tracks. And indeed, we found one out of two stolen cows — already eaten — amongst six sleeping orcs and orcettes. We … umm … heroically confronted them, ahem.
One of them we spared, and put a Charm Person spell on him, and he followed us. Alas, he speaks only orcish. We figured we could 1) neither go back to the farmer empty-handed, 2) nor did we feel strong enough to confront further numbers of orcs, 3) nor could we return to the fort with a charmed orc in tow.
So we parked the orc in a long abandoned hut in a smaller copse and returned to maybe pick some basic orcish, sell the orc weapons, and think long and hard what to do with our orc. Fair warning: The local scribe collects 10% of all treasure collected, and that cuts into the Experience Points as well. We may want to charm him next!

Darion the Fighter and Rovan the Mage teamed up with Nepomuk the fighter and the Elf-Thief Finlay. They decide to check out those ruins on the island, which Darion had dismissed last time due to them being so well known – but apparently they are thought to be so dangerous that they are still not completely plundered.
They fetched the orc (who had developed a solid dislike of Darion — maybe he remembered his fallen comrades, or he disagrees with Darion lugging around an orcish axe) and rowed over onto the island. They entered the dungeon, which Finlay already knows rather well, and after Finlay explained Darion busted open a door.
They sent the orc in first, and he dropped into a pit, nearly dying. Our combined efforts to bind his wounds did not better his mood, or his opinion about us. Rovan sent the wounded orc to rest outside, the rest continued to explore northwards (other option would be eastwards; the southern door leads to places previously explored by Finlay). We found a chest protected by a damaged statue-trap that still wounded Nepomuk.
Darion destroyed the trap and they interrupted the delve to bring back the loot from the chest and sleep for a night so Nepomuk can recover some strength — and the orc likewise: we left him on the island, in hiding. Next time the group will open the door behind the statue-trap.(edited)

Ege — Nepomuk the fighter and Rovan the mage decided to team up again. Since the other party members werent there and the ancient ruins were too dangerous for the two of them they decided to find another quest. They found out that one of the priests was sent to an corrupted temple to cleanse it but they haven’t returned in 4 days.
The figher and the mage didn’t know the exact location of the temple but they knew it was close to a town near. They decided to ask the location of the temple in the local tavern. In the tavern they met with Apoqulis the cleric. Even thogh Nepomuk had a hard time pronunciating his name they decided to team up with the cleric.
Getting the directions form the bartender, the party finally reached the corrupted temple. After a hard fight with giant bees and an even bigger fight trying to understand weird mechanizms in the dungeon, they finaly found the priest. Now they needed to read a magic scroll to cleanse the evil from the temple. They found the source , a frog statue made by crystals , however the statue was being protected by two frog warriors.
The mage charmed one of them and taken the frog away from the other one while the Fighter , Cleric , Priest , and the orc defeated the other one in a hard fought battle . The orc nearly died (again) but there were no casualities. Now the party has an cleric and a frog guy! (Rovan unfortunately doesn’t understand whatever this guys language is.

Ege — The party (consisting of Darion ,Apoqullis, Rovan, the orc and the frogman) decided to head back into the dungeon. In the dungeon they were attacked by goblins , while the party was fighting them another pair of goblins came from an hidden door in the wall. They splitted and managed to kill most of the goblins , however some started to run away and the Frogman was severly wounded.
Darion and Apoqullis decided to stabilize the frogmans wound and Rovan went to hunt one of the escaping goblins but was unable to do so. He decided to return to the party and regroup. While he was going back an orc ambushed him and knocked him unconcious in a single hit. The party had some concerns with Zog the orc they said he could break the charm and kill everyone , however Rovan belived their friendship was real and even if he did break the spell he would still help Rovan.
Until the Darion The figter and Apoqullis the cleric came for rovans rescue the Zog bravely protected Rovan agaist a group of orcs. When Rovan woke up he saw that both the frogman and the orc were dead, brutally slain trying to protect him. The party wasn’t able to give them a proper burial.
Even in this bad conditions we still had some positives, firstly the party (Especially Rovan) had learned that in these lands you need to be really careful to stay alive, you can’t just attack everything you see. And secondly we found a good amount of gold and silver but Rovan wondered if was it really worth it? He lost two comrades beacuse of his recklesness. Now he will try to redeem himself by being the best he can, maybe making decisions with his new wisdom that can save more people having the same fate.(edited)
[6:59 PM]R.I.P Zog and The frogman you will not be forgotten(edited)
James — 3/4/2024 9:21 PMThe next morning, Apoqullis tells the rest of the party that the frogman visited him in a dream. He said that regrets that he did not fight well and died, but he thanks us for taking him with us. All his frogman family ever let him do was to guard the statue. He was excited at the prospect of finding out what goblin and orc tastes like. The dream ended with our froggish friend singing along with his favorite early New Orleans rock & roller, Clarence “Frogman” Henry who did at times, “sing like a frog”.
