James Raggi does it again: subverting expectations.
I don’t want to take up a lot of extra time, just find here “A Beginner’s Quick Guide to Lamentations of the Flame Princess” — where “quick” means 4 (!) hours.

It seems to be a thorough walkthrough with a mention of several OSR games, followed by a history from the early days of D&D and its literary inspirations in Sword & Sorcery, Tolkien, Horror and onwards all the way to the genesis of Lamentations of the Flame Princess … plus most likely a lot more.

I haven’t watched it all yet, but it seems informative and useful to RPG-nerds and those who would like to become that. Just not “quick” in the classic sense of the word. Enjoy!
